Bugatti Divo finally breaks loose

At Bugatti, people take the time to prepare a car for the market debut. Fortunately, it is always worth the wait, even this time. Bugatti pulled the curtain of the extreme Divo almost two years ago and the brand is now ready to deliver the first copies.

The unveiling of a new Bugatti is always a special moment. Especially if it is one that actually goes into production. After the Veyron and Chiron, the Divo is only the third Bugatti of this century to do so. At the end of August 2018 we got to see the newcomer for the first time. Unfortunately, things remained quiet for a long time around the extra sharp Chiron derivative, until the beginning of this year. Then Bugatti already hinted that something special was about to happen this year and now it appears that the Divo is finally ready for public roads.

Although the Divo shares its technical base with the Chiron, Bugatti took just under two years to perfect everything. After all, the Divo approaches it quite differently than the Chiron. This car combines the 1,500 hp 8.0 W16 with a 35 kg lighter body and the more extensive spoiler work on the Divo provides 90 kg more downward pressure than the Chiron. In short, the Divo is a Bugatti that does not necessarily push boundaries with the top speed (380 km / h), but is particularly fast in the corners. So fast that the driver can experience up to 1.6 lateral G-forces when cornering without losing control of the wheel. Bugatti says that the Divo is no less than 8 seconds (!) Faster on test track Nàrdo than the Chiron.

Only 40 people (if everyone buys ‘only’ one) can now experience it for themselves, because that production number remains for the Divo. So quite exclusive, especially in terms of price. The French manufacturer asks no less than € 5 million for its latest.
