Bürstner has also realized that the market for vans is growing enormously and that more and more customers are opting for the luxury converted delivery drivers. To compete, it comes with a new line: the Eliseo.
The bus camper is still on an unstoppable advance. Almost half of all newly sold motorhomes belong to this type of ‘converted van’, although with this name you actually do not do enough for the increasingly luxurious and more complete bus camper. Why do people choose a bus camper? It rides better because it is a stiffer construction, it is compact so you can take it anywhere and in the end it is also safer.
Bürstner is also keen to take advantage of the growing campervan market and is introducing the Eliseo for the coming model year, equipped with extensive equipment and thus in terms of price level in the upper middle segment. The German manufacturer uses the trusted Fiat Ducato and already offers four layouts. These are for couples, as well as families.
The models are given the designations C 540, C 543, C 600 and C 641, where the number indicates the vehicle length. There are many options and options: a double bed, a sleeping roof, a bar / sideboard, an extra refrigerator, everything is possible. The Eliseo is equipped as standard with a skyroof, window frames, entrance with shelves, dimmable indirect lighting, roof hatch (50 x 70 cm), roller shutter door for the bathroom and a side panel with textile at the seating area and sliding door.
The Eliseo can be adapted to individual needs with five different packages. The Active Package Eliseo mainly offers external appearance (aluminum wheels, design upholstery, chrome-plated spoiler protection tube and the like). The Interior Design Package Fiat provides a dashboard full of chrome, a black grille and headlights in a black frame. All models can be equipped with a lifting roof, creating an extra sleeping space of 200 x 135 cm. The winter package includes a heated waste water tank, seat heating and a more powerful heater. The prices of the packages are not yet known.
With the Eliseo, Bürstner wants to offer the same comfort as in larger models, such as the low profile. The largest model, the Eliseo C 641, has two folding single beds in the rear. With the beds folded up, it is also possible to take bicycles inside. This model is also equipped with a Combi 6D diesel heater. The other models are equipped with a Truma Combi 4 gas heating.
Earlier this year, Bürstner also presented a bus camper as an ‘entry-level model’: the Campeo. This can already be admired in the showroom at the dealer and has the same layouts as the Eliseo. The designation Citycar has completely disappeared from Bürstner.
