Chevrolet Trailblazer

You may remember the Chevrolet Trailblazer as the model that was sold in the Netherlands until 2006 and of which Saab also supplied a version in the form of the 9-7X. In 2023, the Chevrolet Trailblazer is a more compact crossover and that model has now been given a new front.

Chevrolet makes a variety of crossovers and SUVs internationally, cars that occasionally overlap and sometimes even resemble each other in name. The Chevrolet Blazer and Trailblazer are similar in naming but not on equal footing. If we forget the electric Bolt EV and Bolt EUV for a moment, Chevrolet’s long-legged delivery range in its home country starts with the Trax, a car that will soon be replaced by the new Trax, elsewhere called Seeker. A step above that is the Chevrolet Trailblazer that plays the leading role in this article, a car that must tolerate the Equinox, Blazer, Traverse, Tahoe and Suburban in ascending order of size.

The Chevrolet Trailblazer was once a tough, traditional SUV.

The Chevrolet Trailblazer therefore seems to be a small model in the pecking order, but with its length of 4.41 meters it is still comparable to cars such as the Nissan Qashqai. The current Trailblazer has been running since 2019 and is given a new front. The LED daytime running lights are even flatter than before and with that the Trailblazer seems to connect with cars such as the already announced electric Equinox EV and Blazer EV. The actual headlights are a floor below and, like the bumper in which they are housed, have a different shape. The new design of the bumper also entails a different grille shape and the silver trim in between has also been renewed. At the rear, the changes are limited to the arrival of a new rear bumper and rear lights with a new layout.

Chevrolet Trailblazer: with a completely new interior.

More news can be found in the Trailblazer. The entire dashboard is new. In the new interior, the digital instrument panel and the infotainment screen visually form more or less one whole with each other, although the digital clock shop does have a roof.

In 2022, Chevrolet sold nearly 61,000 Trailblazers in the United States. It is available with a 137 hp 1.2 turbo engine and with a 1.3 that kicks it up to 155 hp. Those machines are both three-cylinder. Chevrolet also sells the Trailblazer outside the United States, including in China.
