Fisker has big plans with his electric SUV Ocean, but the ambitions of Henrik Fisker’s company go further. The brand considers itself the most sustainable car manufacturer in the world and therefore says it will launch the fully climate-neutral Pear on the market in 2024. Die Pear can already be reserved online.
The Pear is still quite a mysterious project from Fisker. The brand previously described that the entire production chain of the Pear must be climate neutral. In addition, Fisker proudly reports that it breaks with design conventions, but it doesn’t get much more concrete.
Fisker does report that the Pear – whose name stands for personal Electric aautomotive Revolution, yes – it will be about 4.5 meters long, can accommodate five passengers and has several clever storage spaces. Just like the Turkish TOGG, Fisker no longer describes the Pear only as a car, but also as a mobility device. Fisker throws more PR terms into the world and further characterizes the Pear as a Agile Urban EV, a lifestyle vehicle and as ‘the future of individual urban transport’. Count on an SUV-like, but whether a 4.5 meter long electric crossover-like is the best mobility solution for use in busy cities? We venture to doubt it.
In any case, Fisker has full confidence in it. The ‘intelligent’ and ‘always connected’ Pear can already be reserved in America and will have a starting price of $29,900, converted about €26,350. The first copies should be delivered in 2024, Fisker previously spoke of a market introduction in 2027.
