The contact ban was imposed in Germany due to the corona virus. There is even a curfew in some states. But what does that mean? And what are the differences between the two measures?
No contact: These rules are important
The corona virus has now caught up with Germany. Social contacts should be restricted and the virus should be contained in this way. The following rules characterize the ban on contact, which should last at least until Easter:
- Social contacts: Social contacts should be reduced as much as possible.
- Minimum distance: In nature you can only move in pairs or with family members living in the same household. However, the distance to other passers-by must be at least 1.5 m.
- Important paths still allowed: The way to work, emergency care, important appointments and walks are still allowed.
- Parties: Celebrations of any kind, whether in private or public space, are prohibited.
- Closure of catering and service companies: Restaurants, cafes, bars etc. are closed until further notice. Food and drinks can be taken away or delivered to your home. The same applies to service companies specializing in personal care. The only exception are medical facilities of this type.
- Hygiene regulations in companies: The hygiene regulations in all companies should be strictly observed and necessary protective measures should be taken for all employees.
Contact ban: difference to curfew
While a curfew was imposed in Bavaria, Saxony and Saarland, the federal government has agreed to ban all of the country.
In contrast to the ban on contacts, leaving the home or house is not a problem with the curfew good reason forbidden. This allows, for example, the way to work, shopping, refueling, withdrawing money or visiting a doctor. Sport and exercise are also allowed, but always pay attention to the minimum distance. Also, you may not, for example, rest on a park bench for hours or meet friends there, despite the distance. Otherwise, you face fines.
Regardless of whether there is currently a ban on contacts or a curfew: Especially in times of the corona virus, it is particularly important to stay at home as far as possible and to avoid unnecessary routes. Avoid visiting relatives at Easter. This is how you protect yourself and your fellow human beings from possible infection by the virus.
