Dacia Jogger Hybrid 140: Dacia’s first hybrid

Despite its appearance overloaded with cross elements, the Dacia Jogger is a down-to-earth station wagon in the subcompact class. Nowadays a really rare type of car. The Jogger is currently available with a 110 hp 1.0 TCe and with a 100 hp 1.o TCe that also likes LPG in addition to petrol. Both power sources are always linked to a manual five-speed gearbox. The Dacia Jogger will soon be available as a Hybrid. That is the first hybrid Dacia ever!

The Dacia Jogger Hybrid 140 gets a hybrid powertrain known from Renault models. It is about the powertrain that you also find in Renault Clio Hybrid 140. A special piece of technology, that hybrid powertrain is quite special in design. The Dacia Jogger Hybrid will also have a 90 hp atmospheric 1.6, a 50 hp electric motor and a powerful starter-generator, a mechanical four-speed gearbox and two electronic gears. The combined power is 140 hp and, according to Dacia, the total range is a not too bad 900 kilometers.

Dacia Jogger Hybrid 140 is the only Jogger with a digital instrument panel.

In the interior you can recognize the Jogger Hybrid 140 by its automatic lever, which you will not find in any other Jogger. But there is another striking landmark. The Dacia Jogger Hybrid 140 is – at least for the time being – the only Jogger with a 7-inch digital instrument panel. An electronic handbrake is standard, the same applies to a large storage box in the center tunnel.

It is not yet known what the Dacia Jogger Hybrid 140 will cost in the Netherlands. The Jogger – of which 1,109 units have already been sold this year – has a starting price of €21,150. For that amount, the Romanian has the 100 hp 1.0 TCe Bi-Fuel under the hood and is designed as Essential. The Jogger with 1.0 TCe of 110 hp costs €23,550 but is then performed as an Expression. The Jogger Hybrid 140 is also available as a five- and seven-seater.
