Are you the adventurous type? Then the Dacia Jogger might be something for you. Dacia adds, among other things, its tailgate tent and the ‘sleeping package’, with which you can transform the Jogger into a bedroom, to its accessories guide. The prices are just not tender – certainly not for Dacia standards.
Earlier this year, Dacia presented an extensive accessories guide for the Dacia Jogger. There would be a tent on the market that you can stretch over the tailgate of your Dacia and the brand would come up with a package with which you can transform your Dacia into a bedroom. Well now; Dacia now actually offers those things for sale.
We start with the ‘sleep package’, as Dacia calls it. This consists of a wooden storage box with a capacity of 220 litres, on top of which a fold-out mattress rests. You can position it with the help of the supplied wooden panels over a folded second row of seats, so that a mattress of 190 cm long and 130 cm wide is created – in principle large enough for two people to sleep on. The sleeping package has a total weight of 45 kg and stands for €2000.50 in Dacia’s accessories list for the Jogger. You can buy an eight-piece mat set that can darken all windows of the Jogger. It costs €202.
Do you want to be able to get out of bed after a night’s sleep in your Dacia without immediately stepping outside? Then Dacia offers the ‘rear tent’, which should also be able to sleep three people if desired. You place it over the open tailgate of the Jogger and thus connect an extra sleeping space to the car on the one hand and to an awning with an opening to the outside on the other. After packing, the tent fits exactly in the wooden storage box of the sleeping package, says Dacia. What does it cost then? €657.50.
Dacia also offers items such as a cool box that you can secure in the back seat with a belt and all kinds of accessories that you would expect in an accessories guide, such as roof racks, roof boxes and bicycle carriers. Everything can be ordered online and applicable to any version of the Jogger, but we can imagine that the brand produces the sleeping package and the tailgate tent in a not too large edition. Sleep there if you are interested, so don’t spend too many nights on it. Bonne nuit!
