Digital savings stamps at Albert Heijn

Save digital stamps at Albert Heijn. Users of Appie, the Albert Heijn app, automatically save stamps after activation with supermarket savings campaigns.

The country’s largest grocer is also increasingly moving on the digital highway. Never lose stamps again, because they are automatically credited. Even when you pay cash at the cash register. All you have to do is scan your bonus card every time.

To save digitally, you need the Appie app, an AH account and a personal bonus card.

Start with the account. You can create this via the Albert Heijn website. You can read how to do this in the article ‘Order groceries online at Albert Heijn’ under the heading ‘Create an account’.

When creating an account, you will be asked if you have a bonus card, or if you want to create one. Pick one of the two, but make sure to include a bonus card in any case. You cannot start saving digitally without a bonus card. Also make sure that the bonus card is personal.

Then download and install the Appie app from Albert Heijn on your smartphone:

Finally, you turn on digital savings in the app. It goes like this:

  • Open the app
  • Tap the icon of the doll at the top right.
  • Enter your details and tap Login.
  • Tap at the bottom left Home.
  • When the message ‘Always informed’ appears, tap No thanks.
  • Further down the page, under ‘Digital savings’, tap the block.
  • Tap the blue button Yes I want that.

Digital saving is activated. For every 10 euros worth of groceries, a savings stamp is automatically stuck on the digital savings card. That applies to every savings campaign. So what you save for depends on the promotion that is running at that moment. Which action that is, is explained in the app.

  • Open the app
  • Tap at the bottom left Home.
  • Further down the page, under ‘Digital savings’, tap the block.
  • You can now see your savings card(s) and which savings campaign is running. There you can also read how to redeem full savings card(s).
