Everyone with an Apple account gets free access to iCloud. You will then receive 5 GB of storage space, which you can use to store your photo library or backup. For many users, 5 GB is not enough to store all files digitally. Apple therefore offers more subscription options to expand the storage space in iCloud. Do you want more storage space? Then you have to take out a paid subscription.
At iCloud you can opt for 50 GB, 200 GB, 2 TB, 6 TB and 12 TB. The more storage space you need, the more expensive your monthly subscription becomes. For the cheapest option of 50 GB you pay 0.99 euros per month, the most expensive version of 12 TB is no less than 59.99 euros a month. Do you already have a paid subscription to iCloud? iCloud offers more functions
The most important advantage of a paid subscription to iCloud is of course having more storage space. As a result, you have more options when storing your files, so that they are not lost if your iPhone is stolen, for example. Yet this is by no means all, because iCloud Plus offers many more functions. These are available directly with the cheapest subscription. These handy parts are:

- Apple invitations;

With iCloud Plus you get many more options, but you often have to switch on these functions first. You do that on your iPhone (or iPad) under ‘Settings> Apple Account> iCloud> Functions of iCloud+’. It is advisable to switch on ‘private passage in iCloud’, so that your IP address and surfing behavior in Safari always remain hidden.

More advantages of iCloud Plus are sharing a subscription, it is possible to distribute 50 GB (or more) to storage space between multiple users. This way you only have to take out one paid subscription to iCloud within your family, which is often cheaper than several unloading subscriptions. With HomeKit Secure Video, security images end-to-end can be encrypted in iCloud, so that no one can go to the images.
