Donkervoort celebrates this year that founder Joop Donkervoort has turned 70. The already spectacular party song, the JD70, is even more extreme than this Bare Naked Carbon version.
Joop Donkervoort, one of the biggest names in Dutch car history, was allowed to turn 70 this year. Donkervoort reflected on this with the D8 GTO-JD70, which was unveiled earlier this year. To make the party even more fun, there is now also a special version of the JD70. The Bare Naked Carbon version is, as the name says, a variant of the JD70 where the lightweight material of the body is more visible. The structure of the carbon fiber is clearly visible under the paint color, a mixture of a color and clear coat. If desired, the car can also remain completely or partly ‘bare’ and colorless.
The D8 GTO-JD70 is available from € 198,000, but the price increases considerably if you want the carbon fiber to be visible. Those who want to show it partly (uncoloured), on the side panels, diffuser and on the nose, have lost € 5,929. Who wants to see the carbon fiber on the whole car with a color of your choice over it, has lost at least € 5,445. It is also possible to leave the entire car bare from head to toe and to show the carbon fiber (itself black / gray) without extra color over it everywhere. Although that may look very cool, it is immediately a very expensive story. Donkervoort charges € 47,432 for this.
According to Donkervoort, more than half of all JD70s have already been sold. More than 35 of the JD70s, limited to a total of 70 copies. Part of it has already been implemented as Bare Naked Carbon Edition. The D8 GTO-JD70 goes further than ever: it is the most powerful Donkervoort ever. The 2.5-liter five-cylinder from Audi stamps out 415 hp and 520 Nm. The two-seater weighing less than 700 kilos thus shoots from a standstill to 100 km / h in 2.7 seconds and the top is at 280 km / h.
