Have you seen the design of the new Opel Astra and do you think: I prefer it to the DS 4 or Peugeot 308? Then you can immediately contact Opel for a quote. The sixth generation Astra can be ordered immediately for a starting price of 26,699 euros.

If you leave that amount at the Opel dealer, you will receive an Opel Astra 1.2 Turbo with 110 hp. Its three-cylinder petrol engine is mated to a six-speed manual transmission. And if you do a little bit of your best, you should be able to achieve an average consumption of about 1 to 18.5. The new Peugeot 308 (review here) is available with the same powertrain, for a starting price that is about 1000 euros higher (27,790 euros).

Plug-in hybrid Opel Astra from 35 mille
A diesel variant of the Opel Astra also exists, although it will undoubtedly not be the bestseller. It is a 1.5 CDTi with 130 hp for 32,649 euros. The plug-in hybrid Astra. 1.6 Turbo Hybrid starts at 34,899 euros (tax value: 33,750 euros). With its electric motor and petrol engine, it achieves a total power of 180 hp and no less than 360 Nm of torque. You can forget the consumption on paper (1 to 90.9 you do not get), but the electric range of up to 61 kilometers is fine.

Peugeot 308 each time a few hundred euros more expensive
It’s funny to see how the Stellantis concern tries to position its brands. After all, the DS 4 and Peugeot 308 are largely the same as the Opel Astra, but should – in theory – cover a slightly different part of the market. Between the diesel and plug-in hybrid versions of the Opel and the Peugeot is about 500 euros each. In the DS 4 (review here) the diesel is not available (Belgium does have it) and only the even more powerful plug-in hybrid powertrain with 225 hp.
