DS has released the prices of the renewed DS 7 Crossback in the middle of this year, which from now on will simply use its automobile existence as DS 7. The starting price of the DS 7 is set at €53,440.
In June, DS put its largest SUV on the cutting table. The DS 7 Crossback climbed off as DS 7, though the Crossback part of its name wasn’t the only thing it lost. For example, DS puts a thick red line through the conventional PureTech petrol and BlueHDi diesel versions. The DS 7, endowed with a modified front and rear, is only available with plug-in hybrid E-Tense powertrains. We already knew two of them, but one is completely new for the DS 7.
DS 7 E Tense 225
The starting price of the DS 7 is set at €53,440. For that amount, DS puts you in the hands of the 7 E-Tense 225, the only plug-in hybrid powertrain with front-wheel drive that is available. The starting price applies to the Bastille+ version. DS also supplies it as Rivoli, Opera, Performance Line and Performance Line Plus. As with any other plug-in hybrid powertrain with which you can get the DS 7, the combustion engine is a 1.6 four-cylinder turbo engine that, in the case of the E-Tense 225, is good for 180 hp. Together with a 110 hp electric motor, this powertrain is good for 225 hp and 360 Nm.
The battery pack always measures 14.2 kWh. The DS 7 E-Tense 225 squeezes out up to 65 electric kilometers. The well-known sprint from standstill to 100 km/h takes 8.9 seconds in the DS 7 E-Tense 225. Its top speed is 225 km/h, although you have to settle for a top speed of 135 km/h in electric mode. Shifting is in all 7’s with an eight-speed automatic.

DS 7 E-Tense 300 4×4
A step above the E-Tense 225 is the DS 7 E-Tense 300 4×4. In this four-wheel drive plug-in hybrid variant, the combustion engine is 200 hp strong. Together with two 81 hp and 83 hp electric motors, the DS 7 E-Tense 300 4×4 delivers a system power of 300 hp and 520 Nm. You can shoot it to 100 km/h in 5.9 seconds, making it considerably faster than the E-Tense 225. The top speed is 235 km/h and with a fully charged battery you can reach a distance of 63 kilometers. The DS 7 E-Tense 300 4×4 is available in the same versions as the less potent plug-in hybrid and costs as a Bastille+ at least €58,440.

DS 7 E-Tense 360 4×4
The only really new powertrain for the DS 7 is also the most powerful. The DS 7 E-Tense 360 4×4 has the same 200 hp 1.6 and 81 hp and 83 hp electric motors as the E-Tense 300 4×4, although the system power of this top model is 360 hp and 520 Nm. It will not surprise you that the DS 7 with this drivetrain is also the fastest. The sprint from standstill to 100 km/h takes just 5.6 seconds. The top speed is equal to that of the DS 7 with 300 hp E-Tense powertrain. You can, however, purely on electrical power – marginally – drive faster: 140 km/h. The electric range is 57 kilometers. The DS 7 E-Tense 360 4×4 is available as Rivoli, Opera, La Première and as Performance Line+ and costs a minimum of €68,340.
