Ducati Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak Desert: one-off model

More and more manufacturers give you the option to equip a motorcycle with an extensive package of accessories, but at Ducati they have gone one step further with the Ducati Unica program, where a motorcycle can be personalized in detail. The Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak Desert is a good example of this.

Ducati Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak Desert: one-off model

A Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak, personalized through the Ducati Unica program, is ready to further enrich the playground of Massimo Bottura, the owner of Osteria Francescana, the restaurant twice awarded first place in the ranking of “The World’s 50 Best Restaurants.”

The world-famous chef’s new toy is part of the Ducati Unica program. Launched in January 2022, this program allows Ducatists to create the motorcycle of their dreams, through direct interaction with the designers of the Centro Stile Ducati and access to fine materials, exclusive finishes and special colors.

The Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak Desert has been designed from an aesthetic point of view with meticulous work on the paintwork that gives it an unmistakable look, as if it has just come from an adventure in the desert. This unique eye-catching aspect is achieved through the use of a certain type of “sand effect” paint applied to various parts of the motorcycle, including the winglets, handguards, mudguard and rims.

Other elements have also been redefined to make the Pikes Peak Desert even more elegant: the Alcantara seat recalls the main shades of the motorcycle, just as fine work has been done on the brake calipers, engine sump, rear shock spring and exhaust , equipped with a special Akrapovič silencer made especially for this model.

In this Ducati Unica version, the Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak Desert takes over the handguards and handle from the Multistrada V4 RS and is embellished with some details dedicated to the chef’s career, such as the iconic signature of Massimo Bottura on the saddle and the famous three “Michelin stars” that have accompanied the culinary experience of Osteria Francescana since 2011, to which the “Green Star” has been added.

“There are motorcycles and there is Ducati”. This is Bottura’s thought in his latest book “Slow Food, Fast Cars”, which he wrote with his wife Lara Gilmore. A sentence that captures the essence of a spontaneous and authentic relationship that has made Bottura a true ambassador of the Ducati brand over the years. A successful collaboration, driven by passion, which has now been enriched with a fascinating new chapter.
