Following the Panigale V4, Ducati has also completely renewed the Streetfighter V4 for the 2025 model year. The 2025 Streetfighter V4 is equipped for the first time with the Desmosedici Stradale in the same configuration as the Panigale V4, resulting in a top power of 214 hp and a power-to-weight ratio of 1.13 hp/kg, a new benchmark in the Hypernaked segment.
According to Ducati, the 2025 Streetfighter V4 is born from the application of Fight Formula to the new Panigale V4 – the seventh, revolutionary generation of Ducati superbikes – which, according to the Italians, raises all the benchmarks of the category in terms of performance, while at the same time improving comfort for the rider and driving pleasure on the road must have improved.
The new Streetfighter V4 is the most beautiful, fastest and most advanced Ducati Hypernaked ever, according to the Italians a real Streetfighter in the pure sense of the word: a Superbike, stripped of its fairing and equipped with wide handlebars. The specifications certainly don’t lie: a weight of 189 kg, a Desmosedici Stradale engine with 214 hp (226 hp with racing exhaust), biplane winglets and an electronics package that is unique in the world.
Ducati emphasizes that the 2025 Streetfighter is closer than ever to the engine from which it is derived, the Panigale V4. For example, the 1,103cc V4 has exactly the same configuration, the difference in top power of 2 hp is, according to Ducati, purely and solely due to the intake system. When it comes to bicycle parts and electronics, things have also been taken over 1 on 1 from the Panigale.
For the Desmosedici Stradale of the new Streetfighter V4, the distribution diagram has been revised compared to the version of the previous model, where the camshafts have a different profile and a higher lift value. The alternator and oil pump are the same as those on the Panigale V4 R, while the gear drum is the same as on the Superleggera V4. And for the first time, the Streetfighter V4 also features variable length intake manifolds, with a value of 25 mm in the short configuration and 80 mm in the long, simultaneously increasing maximum power and drivability.
The Desmosedici Stradale engine, Euro5+ homologated, delivers 214 hp at 13,500 rpm and a maximum torque of 120 Nm at 11,250 rpm. Values that can be even higher in track configuration: by using the Ducati Performance Akrapovič racing exhaust, the maximum power increases to 226 hp. The Streetfighter V4 has never been so powerful.
The design of the new Streetfighter V4 retains the unmistakable Streetfighter DNA. With more balanced proportions and a better distribution of volumes between the front and rear, Ducati says it has angled the Streetfighter V4’s lines more forward, making the bike look ready to launch into the next corner.
A completely new Full-LED headlight enhances the aggressive face of the new Streetfighter and retains its iconic signature. At the rear, the Full-LED light beam is functionally divided into two parts, creating that double C that Ducati believes should be characteristic of the sportiest Ducatis.
The 16 liter tank, particularly narrow in fit and characterized by a very clear shoulder, is reflected in the larger presence of the butt, more elongated towards the rear, with a shorter license plate holder and a pillion seat positioned lower than on the 2024 Streetfighter V4 . Both parts are designed to combine style and functionality, improving ergonomics when riding a sports bike.
Finally, the forward-sloping biplane winglets. Compared to the previous model, they are more effective (+17 kg downforce at 270 km/h) and are more refined into the line. According to Ducati, the winglets have created a motorcycle with very agile handling characteristics, but at the same time stable and rigorous at high speeds. Finally, the under-engine exhaust retains the stylistic imprint of Ducati sports bikes, keeping the center of gravity low and providing a clear view of the new double-sided hollow symmetrical swingarm, which is also visually lightened by the large exhaust outlets on both sides.
The Streetfighter V4 has never been so close to the Panigale V4. Thanks to the very rigorous chassis of the new Borgo Panigale superbike, on this model it was not necessary to extend the swingarm to give the bike stability, but it was enough to work on the dimensions of the front chassis (+0.5 ° steering angle, +1 mm in trail) to find the synthesis between agility and stability.
The chassis of the Streetfighter V4 is directly derived from the new Panigale and is completely new. The Front Frame is therefore lighter (3.47 kg in weight compared to the previous 4.42 kg) and adjusted in stiffness compared to the previous model (-39% lateral) to provide more confidence in lean angles and more effectiveness in taking the apex and maintaining the trajectory.
Just like with the 2025 Pani V4, the Streetfighter V4’s iconic single-sided rear suspension has also been replaced by a hideous double-sided one. Ducati emphasizes a weight saving of 2.9 kilos for the entire rear suspension (including the wheel), but this has been at the expense of its beauty.
The third generation of the Streetfighter V4 S’s electronically controlled Öhlins NIX/TTX suspension expands the adjustment spectrum, making calibrations more comfortable for road use and more durable and effective when riding between the curbs of a circuit. At the same time, the higher speed of the hydraulic valves ensures a more precise and precise response in every driving situation.
Furthermore, compared to the Panigale V4, the rear suspension linkage has been progressively revised to provide greater comfort on the road, which is further increased thanks to the “Cruise Detection” strategy. This strategy softens the suspension when a constant pace is detected, such as on the highway, significantly increasing ride comfort.
Just like the new Ducati Panigale V4, the Streetfighter V4 is also equipped with Brembo Hypure™ front brake calipers. The Brembo Hypure™ brake calipers are lighter (-60 grams per pair compared to the previous model’s Stylema) and deliver better performance. They dissipate the heat released during braking more effectively and provide more consistent performance, allowing riders to push their limits more effectively.
The Race eCBS system with Cornering functionality, developed by Ducati in collaboration with Bosch, is able to activate and modulate the rear brake, limiting load transfer and improving the motorcycle’s stability in the braking phase, both when used on road as on the track, even when the rider only applies the front brake.
The system, which offers five levels compared to the three of the previous Streetfighter model, intervenes in a similar way to what professional riders do on the lowest levels, reserved for track use, while improving safety and stability on the higher levels, designed for on-road use.
Then the electronics. The Ducati Vehicle Observer, an algorithm developed by Ducati Corse in MotoGP, simulates the input of more than 70 sensors and thus refines the electronic control strategies, which can achieve unprecedented effectiveness in series production. The precision of this functionality allows the control to intervene in an almost predictive manner to respond directly to the rider’s needs in the quest for maximum performance.
The 2025 Streetfighter V4 is in fact equipped with a complete suite of electronic controls: Ducati Traction Control DVO, Ducati Slide Control, Ducati Wheelie Control DVO, Ducati Power Launch DVO, Engine Brake Control and Ducati Quick Shift 2.0. The DQS 2.0 system uses a strategy based solely on the angular position sensor of the gear drum, allowing the use of a shift rod without microswitches, thus giving the rider a more direct feel with less travel.
The new 6.9” dashboard with 8:3 aspect ratio offers maximum readability and is perfectly integrated into the line of the new Streetfighter. The safety glass uses Optical Bonding technology to ensure optimal readability on a black background, even during the day. The interface offers differentiated displays (Infomode) for use on the road or on the track, combining completeness and readability of the information in the first case with support for the rider in the search for maximum performance in the second.
The new Streetfighter V4, available in the V4 and V4 S versions, with Öhlins suspension and steering damper, forged rims and lithium battery, will be available in dealers from March 2025. Both are available in a single-seat configuration, with passenger kit available as an accessory.
The new Streetfighter V4 and Streetfighter V4 S will be available at official Ducati dealers from March 2025. Prices in the Netherlands: V4 € 28,990 – V4 S € 33,190. Prices in Belgium: V4 €24,990 – V4 S €28,490.
