Dutch Yeet! invests 60 million euros in the charging network

The young Dutch company Yeet! – with exclamation mark – this year is investing € 60 million in setting up an extensive charging network. By the end of this year, 500 locations in the Benelux, Germany and France must already have been established.

Yeet! will realize charging points at 50 locations this year, the company reports. They are starting in the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg and also this year expanding to Germany and France. In its own words, it aims to respond to charging needs as smartly as possible by mapping out which charging needs there are per location. “We look at the actual need in an area such as a city district off an office area. How many electric cars are driving daily? And how many people drive on average per week? Then we look at which charging solutions we can meet the needs of these electric drivers, without to place a pole on every street corner “, says CEO Wim de Boer.

Yeet! For example, wants to provide parking areas with charging stations, but also places fast chargers, so-called ‘Power Stations’, at some locations that can deliver up to 350 kW charging capacity. That depends on which charging solution best meets the needs at that location. The company is looking at a ‘mix of normal charging stations and fast chargers’. Yeet! expects to have concluded agreements for 500 locations in the aforementioned countries by the end of this year. As mentioned, it will start building charging points at 50 locations this year and will therefore expand its network over considerably more locations in the coming years.
