Electric Aiways U6 from all angles

The Chinese manufacturer Aiways will bring a second electric SUV to the Dutch market this year. We can now show you more pictures of those electric Aiways U6.

Aiways recently released the first photos of the Aiways U6, an electric SUV that will get a place next to the already well-known U5 on the Dutch market this year. Although the Aiways U5 is a conventional SUV despite its striking design, Aiways is casting its second international production model in the form of a so-called Coupé SUV. An SUV with a steeply sloping roofline.

The Aiways U6 shares its modular More Adaptable Structure (MAS) doped platform with the U5 and will most likely be available with the same electric powertrain. The Aiways U6 in these photos features sporty looking bumper and spoiler work. Indeed, just like the U6 Ion Concept with which Aiways previewed the U6 last year. Do not be surprised if the regular production version has to do with less exuberant appearance.

Especially at the front, the Aiways U6 is clearly recognizable as a product of Aiways and that means that this electric coupé SUV also has L-shaped headlights with large plastic grilles underneath. The headlights are different from those of the U5, the spur on the U6 is located at the bottom of the units. The rear of the U6 is completely different from that of the U5. The car has an almost sedan-like buttock with L-shaped lighting that is connected to each other by means of an LED strip running over the entire width of the valve. A striking design element is the substantial C-pillar. Aiways seems to choose not to give the U6 an extra side window. The interior of the U6 also differs from that of the U5. Behind the wheel is a minimalist-looking display, in the center of the dashboard a horizontally oriented display that looks a few sizes larger than that of the U5 (photo 10).

The Aiways U6 will be on the market in the Netherlands this year. Count on a starting price that is above that of the U5. The Aiways U5 changes ownership in the Netherlands from € 39,950.
