Alfa Romeo Milano

Are you already used to the new name of the Alfa Romeo ‘Milano’? We now know what the much-discussed Italian should cost, and that turns out to be considerably more than Fiat asks for the technically identical 600e.

Funny: Alfa Romeo calls its smallest model Junior instead of Milano, but in the press photos accompanying this price report we still see ‘Milano’. In any case, this is an immensely important car for Alfa Romeo, so the price is also of vital importance. Well, the electric Alfa Romeo Junior Elletrica costs at least €39,000. For that money you get the version with 156 hp and front-wheel drive, good for a range of more than 400 kilometers.

We know these specifications from a lot of other compact EVs from the Stellantis stable, such as the still fresh Fiat 600e. It is available with this drivetrain from €35,990, so the Alfa is considerably more expensive. However, the standard equipment of the Junior, which we will of course elaborate further in a future episode of ‘Back to Basics’, seems to be in order. The Alfa Romeo Junior, for example, has standard automatic air conditioning, a start button, adaptive cruise control, 18-inch alloys, and a 10.1-inch touchscreen.

To increase the festive spirit, there is an introductory version of this Junior, the Junior Elettrica Speciale. It is available from €41,000 and has some exterior features, nicer upholstery, navigation, Level 2 autonomy and an electric tailgate, including an electrically adjustable driver’s seat with massage.

Would you prefer more power? Then choose the Alfa Romeo Junior Elettrica Veloce (red in the photos). It also has one electric motor, but with 240 hp. Sprinting from 0 to 100 in 6 seconds costs at least €48,000.

Petrol

The Alfa Romeo Junior is Alfa’s first EV, but it is not always an EV. The mild-hybrid Ibrida has the 136 hp powertrain that we know from many other Stellantis products. This is available with front and four-wheel drive and will be available in the third quarter of this year. Prices will follow at that time.
