Temporary indulgence
The electric BMW iX is temporarily available in a new version. It is called Sport Edition and offers a bunch of extras for free that you normally have to pay extra for.
The BMW iX is available in the Netherlands as a 326 hp xDrive40, as a 524 hp xDrive50 and as a beastly M60 with no less than 619 hp of electric power. The iX xDrive40 and xDrive50 normally have to do without sporty decoration as standard. BMW is now introducing the Sport Edition for these two engine versions. It is a bit sportier as standard and you don’t have to pay a penny extra for it.
Indeed, the BMW iX xDrive40 Sport Edition and xDrive50 Sport Edition, with prices of €84,998 and €105,097 respectively, are exactly as expensive as the standard versions. What do the temporarily available versions offer extra? Still quite a bit! For example, the normally €3,050 Sports package on the Sport Edition is standard. That package brings dark execution Shadowlineheadlights, larger (17-inch) brake discs with blue calipers, more dynamic-looking front and rear bumpers to the iX. BMW also adds special 21-inch alloy wheels that replace the standard 20-inch large ones. You also get free metallic paint and even the Individual colors Oxide Gray Metallic and Aventurinrot are available at no extra cost. Normally you pay €1,295 for these polishes.
