Electric Hyundai Ioniq 5 ready for unveiling

Hyundai has released a new teaser video of the Ioniq 5, an electric newcomer that is now really imminent.

Hyundai says it will be pulling the curtain on the Ioniq 5 in mid-February, a new electric model that will receive the honor of being the first type to be on the modular E-GMP platform specially intended for EVs.

Hyundai today for the second time released footage of the Ioniq 5, this time packaged in a video with a real storyline. During the video, fragments of the Hyundai Ioniq 5 emerge, fragments that reaffirm that the Ioniq 5 is going to be very similar to the Hyundai Concept 45 that preceded it. The model will have strikingly angular LED headlights and taillights, which, like those of the 45 Concept, are made up of small segments. In addition, the Ioniq 5 will include cameras placed on sticks that function as side mirrors, but there is more. Hyundai gives it recessed handles (see photo 9) and even seems to place solar cells on the roof.

According to previously leaked information, the Ioniq 5 is about 4.65 meters long and will be available in various variants. Among other things, there will be a 315 hp four-wheel drive variant that brings the car to 100 km / h in 5.2 seconds. That version would squeeze 450 WLTP kilometers from a 58 kWh battery pack. A 73 kWh version would even reach a driving range of 550 kilometers. Very decent numbers if they are based on truth. The model will be joined by the Ioniq 6 and 7 at a later stage. In mid-February, the Ioniq 5 will reveal all its secrets.
