43 percent greater range
The Lexus UX with hybrid powertrains was recently added to the Dutch price list in an improved form. There is no trace of the electric version of the UX – the 300e – in the Netherlands. What seems? Lexus has quietly returned the electric UX 300e to the Dutch price list, but in a thoroughly improved form. The UX 300e even goes more than 40 percent further on a full battery than before.
The Lexus UX was also delivered without hybrid power in the Netherlands, although Lexus’ attention was mainly focused on the hybrid UX 300h and the electric UX 300e. The first was presented at the end of last year in a technically improved form and in that capacity recently ended up on the Dutch price list. The Lexus UX with electric drivetrain disappeared from the Dutch range last year, but Lexus has now put it back on the price list without reporting anything about it. And how. The Lexus UX 300e now has an up to 40 percent greater range.
Lexus UX 300e
Lexus already launched the improved electric UX 300e in October 2022. The crossover then exchanged its 54.3 kWh battery for a significantly larger one with a capacity of 72.8 kWh. The result? A significantly greater range. While the Lexus UX 300e previously ranged up to 315 kilometers on a full battery, it now has a range of 450 kilometers. That is 135 kilometers more, a gain of 43 percent. Please note: this applies to the UX 300e on 17-inch alloy wheels. Are your UX slippers a size bigger? Then you have to settle for 440 kilometers.
As before, fast charging is possible again with a maximum of 50 kW. The power of the electric motor has also not been tampered with, as before, it is 204 hp and 300 Nm. Just like the hybrid Lexus UX, the electric UX 300e also benefits from the arrival of new displays. Depending on the version, there is a digital instrument cluster measuring up to 8 or 12.3 inches and an infotainment screen measuring 7 or 12.3 inches.
The starting price of the electric Lexus UX 300e is set at €53,995. For that amount you get the unnamed entry-level version. The UX 300e is also available as a Business Line, Luxury Line and Executive Line.
