The Maserati GranTurismo will soon be joined by the open GranCabrio. There will also be a fully electric Folgore variant of that Maserati GranCabrio and it is that electric bon vivant that can be seen for the first time in this set of photos.
Recently, the new Maserati GranCabrio turned up in the icy high north of Sweden. Judging by the four exhaust tailpipes visible at the bottom of the rear, this was clearly a variant with the 3.0 V6. Just like the closed Maserati GranTurismo, the Maserati GranCabrio also gets an electric version called Folgore. In these photos we see that electric Maserati GranCabrio Folgore for the first time.
Although our spy photographer was unable to point his lens at the GranCabrio Folgore before, the snapped test specimen seems to have been driving around for a while. The camouflage work is peeling off quite a bit all around. Both at the bottom of the rear, at the bottom of the doors and at the front of the electric Maserati, the stickers seem to have temporarily exchanged it for eternity. Anyway: the sticker work could not hide the fact that this is the electric Folgore version. There is no fuel flap on the right rear screen like the version with V6. Instead, the GranCabrio Folgore has a cargo opening under the left taillight.

Four-seater electric convertibles are still extremely unique, so the Maserati GranCabrio Folgore is a welcome addition for those who are not short on slack. That electric convertible will not be childish either. After all, the electric GranTurismo Folgore gets 761 hp and 1,350 Nm of electric power and thus stomps to a speed of 100 km / h in 2.7 seconds. Its top speed: 320 km/h. In addition, the 83 kWh battery would be good for a range of about 450 kilometers. The electric Maserati GranCabrio Folgore will be unveiled later this year.
