The fully electric Mercedes-Benz EQS has not yet been unveiled, but the electric equivalent of the S-class can already be reserved from today. The first copies will be delivered in the second half of this year.
The Mercedes-Benz EQ family, which consists of all-electric models, already includes the EQA, EQC and EQV. In the future, a range of electric models will be added, including the EQB, EQE, EQE SUV and EQS and EQS SUV. The EQS will be a top limousine that will take on the role of an electric alternative to the S-class. The EQS has yet to be revealed, but can be reserved in advance via a specially designed website. Mercedes-Benz charges a reservation amount of € 1,500.
In 2019, Mercedes-Benz already gave a preview of the EQS with the Vision EQS. It will be an electric top sedan with – if we may believe the latest spyshots – an almost coupé-like line. It promises to be a very capable EV. After all, Mercedes-Benz is already talking about an electric range of no less than 700 kilometers. In about 15 minutes you can according to Das Haus up to 250 kilometers of range. In addition, the EQS is the first Mercedes-Benz to be assigned the gigantic MBUX Hyperscreen in its interior.
The EQS, a competitor for BMW’s upcoming i7, will roll off the production line in Sindelfingen later this year. The first copies will be delivered in the second half of this year.
