Lifestyle has its price
Mini will not open the order books for the all-new Aceman until mid-June. Yet we already know what the minimum cost of the Mini Aceman will be in the Netherlands. The starting price of the electric crossover remains below 40 grand.
The Mini Aceman still needs to get used to daylight, but we can already tell you what the compact electric crossover will cost at least: €38,990. Mini has not yet reported which version and engine version this is.
However, it is obvious that the starting price applies to the Mini Aceman E with a 184 hp electric motor, in Essential trim. The Aceman E reaches a speed of 100 km/h from a standstill in just under eight seconds. Its top speed: 160 km/h. The range is more interesting. The 42.5 kWh battery of the Aceman E gives the crossover a range of 310 kilometers. Fast charging is possible with up to 75 kW. For those who want more speed, a higher charging speed and more range, Mini will soon have the 218 hp Aceman SE with a 52.4 kWh battery on offer. The Mini Aceman SE has a range of up to 406 kilometers, can charge with up to 95 kW DC and should be able to reach 100 km/h from a standstill in just over 7 seconds. It is not yet known what the Mini Aceman SE will cost.
The Mini Aceman does not seem to be an outright price winner with a starting price of just under 39 grand. The crossover, injected with a high lifestyle content, is smaller than the Volvo EX30, also produced in China, which has a starting price of €36,795. For that entry price, the EX30 offers more power (272 hp) and a greater range (337 kilometers).
