18 percent greater range, 15 percent less power consumption
During the facelift of the now DS 3 called DS 3 Crossback, Stellantis gave the electric version of that crossover a new powertrain. Now it is Peugeot that hangs the same renewed powertrain in the electric e-208.
Until recently, the electric version of the Peugeot 208 had a 50 kWh battery and a 136 hp and 260 Nm electric motor. That e-208 recorded an electric range of 362 kilometers behind its name. Like the new DS 3 E-Tense, the Peugeot e-208 will get a new electric powertrain. This means that the Peugeot e-208 now has a 156 hp and 260 Nm strong electric motor and a 51 kWh battery pack (48.1 kWh net0).
Thanks to the combination of the new more powerful and more efficient electric motor and the larger battery pack, the range of the Peugeot e-208 increases considerably. The electric range is now up to 400 kilometers, 38 kilometers more than before. With an average of 12 kWh per 100 kilometers, energy consumption is just under 18 percent lower.
The updated Peugeot e-208 has a 7.4 kW single-phase charger as standard and is optionally available with an 11 kW three-phase charger. With a 100 kW fast charger, the battery pack can be charged from 20 to 80 percent of its capacity with power in less than 25 minutes.
