At JLR, 2024 will be the year of a new electric Jaguar and the Range Rover Electric

At Land Rover, 2024 will be the year of a special variant of the Range Rover. The fully electric Range Rover will be launched next year. It will be called Range Rover Electric and the English are now releasing the first detailed shots.
The company, formerly called Jaguar Land Rover but now calling itself JLR, rarely has it easy. After the broom was swept through most of the old future plans this year and new ones were drawn up, the company needs to gain momentum. It will invest €17 billion in electric cars in the coming years. There will be a fully electric GT from Jaguar and an electric Range Rover in 2024. The English are now showing the first fragments of that Range Rover Electric.
JLR proudly reports that it expects to have more patents for the electric Range Rover than for any Range Rover in the past. According to the English, the Range Rover Electric is now being extensively tested, including so that it can wade through 85 centimeters of deep water safely and without electrocuting fish or passengers. Due to its electric drivetrain, the Electric will not surprisingly be the company’s quietest car ever, with JLR indicating that it has paid extra attention to sound insulation.
The Range Rover Electric gets EV indications on the center caps, a sideways sliding tailgate and a closed grille, but otherwise seems to be very Range Rover. Underneath the car you will find the Modular Longitudinal Architecture (MLA), the basis that also serves as the Range Rover with combustion engines, of which the newcomer is a derivative. By the way, JLR already announced in 2021 during the unveiling of the current Range Rover that there would be an electric version.
