Electric Renault Megane E-Tech now almost always with heat pump

Renault is subtly revising the delivery range of the electric Megane E-Tech. The brand scraps a model, brings back an engine version and adds a heat pump to the standard equipment of almost every variant. AutoWeek has the prices.

The electric Renault Megane E-Tech loses one of its lower positioned versions. The Megane E-Tech with 40 kWh battery and 130 hp electric motor will continue to exist, but from now on it will only be available in the entry-level Equilibre version. The Techno version is no longer available for this engine version. The starting price of the Megane E-Tech increases slightly. The least potent engine version, called Megane E-Tech EV40 130 Boost Charge in full, costs €38,370 in combination with the only existing Equilibre version for this engine version.

The Megane E-Tech EV60 Boost Charge, the name of the version with a 60 kWh battery in combination with the 220 hp electric motor, will also remain and, just like the EV40 Boost Charge (40 kWh, 130 hp), will become €780 more expensive. It is available as Equilibre from €42,970, as Evolution (€44,070) and as Techno and Iconic, it costs €45,970 and €48,970 respectively.

There is also a Megane E-Tech with the large 60 kWh battery pack, but in combination with a less powerful electric motor of 130 hp. It is only available as Evolution ER (Extended Range) and costs €43,970. This version no longer has a 12-inch vertical infotainment screen, but a smaller (9-inch) horizontally oriented copy. New is the arrival of the Business Edition, which is based on the Evolution version and which also has the 60 kWh battery and the 130 hp electric motor. It costs €40,970.

There is also good news for all versions, with the exception of the entry-level Equilibre. Previously, a heat pump was optional for every version, but it is now standard on the Evolution, Evolution ER, Techno and Iconic.
