Volkswagen’s ID family is growing rapidly. After the ID3 and ID4, Volkswagen launched the ID5 this week and during the presentation of that electric ‘coupé SUV’, Volkswagen immediately showed the next new ID model. This is the electric ID Buzz.
During the presentation of the new ID5, Volkswagen casually showed the ID Buzz. The electric ID Buzz was on stage in a sleek and therefore revealing sticker sheet. The only visual deception comes in the form of the many lines on the decal work. To be fair, your pants probably won’t drop in astonishment when you see these photos. The run-up to the arrival of the ID Buzz has turned out to be quite a long one.

The ID Buzz will be an electric commercial vehicle with a strong retro design. The electric Volkswagen, inspired by the design of the T1 and T2, comes as an ID Buzz Cargo van, but also gets a passenger car version. In 2017, Volkswagen already showed the ID Buzz Concept, a study model that the production version will closely resemble.

At the beginning of 2022, Volkswagen will launch the ID Buzz in various lengths. Like the electric ID3, ID4, ID5 and many ID models to be introduced, the car will be placed on the MEB platform, so you can also count on well-known EV technology. Volkswagen also has a knack for showing a model yet to be presented in a psychedelic-looking print well before the actual unveiling. The brand already did that with cars such as the ID3, ID4 and ID5.
