The American Elio Motors says it will come up with an electric version of its small tricycle. However, the question is whether the company will actually build that version.
The American Elio Motors has been calling for almost ten years that it uses an economical tricycle, a car that listens to the name Elio-G. Elio Motors announced, among other things, that the emissions of small Elio thanks to a 0.9 liter small three-cylinder would be less harmful than those of a flatulent cow, although that is not the most striking feature around the car. The Elio has been postponed several times and in 2021 the company has not yet delivered a single copy, while thousands of orders have been placed. Criticism of the company grows by the month, but Elio Motors does not care and casually announces an electric version of its Elio.
The electric Elio, which will be called ‘Elio-E’ somewhat uninspired, should have a starting price of €12,600 converted. According to Elio Motors, an electric version of the Elio has always been in the pipeline, although the company would first like to market its petrol version. Now Elio Motors says that the electric variant will be given priority because there is more demand for electric cars these days.
