Good news for those who are in the market for an electric SUV and want to drive something quirky. The electric Fisker Ocean can officially be sold in Europe. The first copies will arrive in Europe in May.

The Fisker Ocean is officially allowed for sale in Europe. That had been in the air for some time. In fact, the electric SUV could already be ordered in Germany, among others. According to Fisker, it has received the final green light to sell the Ocean in Europe. The first units will be delivered to European customers on May 5.

The Fisker Ocean comes to our continent in different flavors. It is available as Sport, as Ultra and as Extreme. The first copies destined for Europe are a special introductory model called One. It is based on the Ocean Extreme, the version with the most powerful electric motors and the largest driving range. The Ocean Extreme has two 550 hp electric motors together and the HyperRange battery pack, which is good for a WLTP range of 707 kilometers. In 3.9 counts he thunders to 100 km / h.

The Fisker Ocean Ultra is slightly less potent than the Extreme in every way. This variant also has two electric motors, sprints to 100 km/h in 4.2 seconds and reaches more than 600 kilometers on a full battery. Please note that these are still preliminary specifications. The front-wheel drive Fisker Ocean Sport has a smaller battery called Touring Range and kicks it to a range of about 440 kilometers. As an Extreme, the Ocean in Germany costs at least €74,417, the Ultra is available from €63,947 and the Sport €43,547. The Ocean also seems to be coming to the Netherlands in due course, although the Dutch market is not one of the first European countries where Fisker will market the model. A smaller EV will follow later in the form of the Fisker Pear.
