According to rumors, there will be no iPhone 15 Pro Max in 2023, but an iPhone 15 Ultra. Here’s what you need to know about Apple’s best iPhone ever!
Will there still be an iPhone 15 Ultra in 2023?
Usually reliable Apple connoisseur Mark Gurman said in September last year that the iPhone 15 Ultra may replace the iPhone 15 Pro Max. Multiple sources, including Ming-Chi Kuo, agreed with him at the time.
At the end of 2022 and early 2023 there were several rumors about the name change, but after that it remained remarkably quiet. At the time, it seemed that Apple would choose the iPhone 15 Pro Max and not the Ultra name after all.
Until now, because AppleInsider’s Andrew O’Hare says Apple plans to call their top model of 2023 the iPhone 15 Ultra anyway. He recently said this on X (formerly Twitter).
According to O’Hara, the iPhone 15 Ultra will have a larger screen and a periscope lens with 10 times zoom. Both the iPhone 15 Pro and the iPhone 15 Ultra will soon be made of titanium and will have an action button (instead of the mute button) on the side. In addition, he expects an A17 chip in the iPhone 15 Ultra.
There will be four versions of the iPhone 15 this year. These are:
- iPhone 15;
- iPhone 15 Plus;
- iPhone 15 Pro;
- iPhone 15 Ultra.
