Exclusive super-Alfa Romeo ready for debut

Not four or eight, but six cylinders

Exclusive super-Alfa Romeo ready for debut

Alfisti and anyone who simply cares about Alfa Romeo can put a big red circle on the agenda at August 30. That’s the day why Alfa Romeo pulls the curtain on a brand new… supercar!

At a time when Alfa Romeo could use the addition of an electric model to its model range particularly well, the Italians first come up with something completely different. And fast too. On August 30, Alfa Romeo will conjure up a completely new supercar from its top hat. Alfa Romeo is now releasing a new teaser of that officially still unnamed newcomer. On that new sketch we see – if we’re right – a ventilation grille with vertical slats and four red LEDs that undoubtedly function as a brake light.

Wait a minute, a vent high in the buttocks? Of course. And you probably already sense why. We suspect that the new Alfa Romeo supercar has its power source behind the front seats. An earlier teaser plate of the new Alfa Romeo suggested that the newcomer could just be called 6C. As with the earlier 8C and 4C, the number in the model name refers to the number of cylinders the power unit has. That would mean that the super Alfa gets a six-cylinder. Or that a variant of its own 2.9 biturbo V6 or perhaps a variant of the 3.0 biturbo Net TunoV6 of the Maserati MC20 is not officially known at this time. In any case, it seems certain that Alfa Romeo will conjure up something special in terms of both motor and design technology in a few days.
