The Volvo XC40 can now also be ordered as a Recharge T4 plug-in hybrid. This pushes the starting price of plug-in hybrid XC40s to 43,995 euros.

In addition to the now well-known plug hybrid Volvo XC40 ‘Recharge’ T5 Plug-in Hybrid, a T4 plug hybrid is now also for sale. The new variant has a system power of 211 hp and a torque of 405 Nm. This allows you to complete the 0-100 km / h sprint within 8.5 seconds. The new plug-in hybrid can tow a caravan, trailer or trailer up to 1,800 kg.

The range of the Recharge T4, in fully electric driving, is (according to the WLTP test) 45 km. Volvo provides a 16A ‘Mennekes’ charging cable as standard. If you buy or lease the new plug-in hybrid this month, you will also receive a year of free charging current. Thanks to the new T4 variant, the starting prices of the XC40 plug hybrid already start at 43,995 euros.

Changes T5 Plug-in hybrid

The T4 introduction slightly changes the existing range of the XC40 Recharge T5 Plug-in hybrid. Not in starting price or power (262 hp), but in available trim levels. You can now order the Business Pro, Inscription and R-Design. Volvo also offers the Recharge T5 with ‘Polestar Engineered’ performance optimization. This brings the system power to a maximum of 276 hp and the torque to 440 Nm.
