The first copy of the most extreme street-legal Toyota Yaris ever was produced at the end of August. More interesting is the announcement that the first examples of the sniffed Yaris will arrive in Europe in November!
At the beginning of this year, Toyota blew everyone off their seat by presenting the GR Yaris. That is a completely deranged variant of the new Toyota Yaris in every way. The four-wheel drive extremist has a 261 hp and 360 Nm strong 1.6-liter three-cylinder in the nose, which accelerates it to 100 km / h in 5.2 counts. The top speed of perhaps the nicest Toyota that is now for sale is 230 km / h. It’s not just the highly potent power plant that makes the GR Yaris special. In contrast to the regular Yaris, the hatchback developed by Toyota Gazoo Racing is not a five-door, but a three-door with a heavily developed rear end.
Toyota reports that the first specimen left the factory gates of Toyota’s Motomachi facility in Toyota City on August 26. The first copies of the GR Yaris that the GRMN Yaris from the previous generation Yaris downgrades to a wallflower will get European soil under their wheels in November. Dutch prices are not yet available. Fun fact: a braver GR Yaris has recently been offered in Japan!
