Facelift for Audi A4 L.

In mid-last year, Audi made a facelift on the A4, a refurbishment round in which Ingolstadt was more roughly planed than in previous updates. Now the A4 L, so the A4 with longer wheelbase, has also been optically modernized.

The A4 L is the variant of the A4 that Audi sells in China. Anyone who knows the Chinese car market well knows that regular sedans in China are often just a bit longer than the variants we know here. The Chinese A4 L, always a sedan, with its length of 4.85 is more than 11 centimeters longer than the four-door A4 that you can order in Europe. The wheelbase of the A4 L is 8 centimeters larger than that of the European A4 at 2.9 meters. That provides extra legroom in the back.

The version produced in China by the German-Chinese joint venture FAW-Volkswagen is in line with the facelifted international A4 presented last year. That means that the A4 L also gets a wider and flatter grille that is flanked to become new LED headlights, viewers that are always equipped with matrix LED technology in China. There is a greater distance between the grille and the hood, making the A4 L a perfect fit between the recently introduced models of the brand. Also at the rear we see new lighting, lamps whose interpretation is identical to that of the European A4. The taillights are connected to each other by a chrome strip if desired. Also known changes in the interior. For example, the MMI rotary knob is also referred to the trash in the Chinese A4L and the infotainment system can now mainly be operated via touch (with haptic feedback) and the voice. Fun fact: FAW-Volkswagen launched the first extended A4 in 2008 in China.
