Facelift for Lada Largus

Lada will launch a modified station wagon in the first half of next year. It concerns the facelifted Lada Largus, a car with an ancient base that will include a new muzzle.

Lada will bring a facelifted version of the Largus to the Russian car market next year, a compact station wagon that further extends the life of the first generation Dacia Logan MCV. The Largus, presented in 2011, shares its basis with the Logan MCV, launched in 2006, with the characteristic rear doors. The Largus, of which an adventurous Cross version and a true VIP version also exist, is going under the knife and Lada today shares a first image of the changed combi.

The facelift that Lada is implementing on the Largus finally brings more modern Lada design to the model. Since the launch of the Vesta, Lada has been applying its X-shaped design language to its models. The Largus gets different headlights and a new grille from which two chrome-framed bumper pieces on either side take a bite. We already know a similar design from the Kalina family, which was renamed Granta in 2018. The Largus also gets a new bonnet. To what extent the rear and the interior of the Largus will be modernized, it is not yet clear on the basis of this first image. The engines will probably not be tinkered with, which means that the Largus will soon be available again with an 87 hp eight-valve 1.6 and with a 106 hp 1.6 petrol engine with sixteen valves. A subsequent model series will undoubtedly, like the new Dacia Sandero and Logan, be placed on a cheaper variant of Renault’s modern modular CMf-B platform.

Lada Largus (2019)

If the facelifted Lada Largus is allowed to last for a number of years again, the Russian / Romanian station wagon will more or less grow into a moving relic. His stock father, the first Dacia Logan MCV, was succeeded by a type that had to do without the typical rear doors. The second generation Logan has since received succession in the form of the completely revised third generation Logan, which is only available in sedan form.
