Maserati is working hard behind the scenes on a renewed version of the Quattroporte, a car that will probably reveal all its secrets this year.
The current generation Maserati Quattroporte has been off the production line in Turin, Italy, since 2012, which means that the sedan in its current form is not exactly the youngest anymore. Photos have now surfaced of the renewed Quattroporte, naturally decked out in a psychedelic camouflage suit.
Despite the fact that the current Quattroporte is blowing out its eighth candle this year, Maserati does not seem to be particularly heavy-handed when updating the model. Apparently the Italians make changes to the grille and bumpers, but the earth-shaking changes will not be. For a long time, the sharpened Quattroporte, a competitor for cars like the Porsche Panamera, does not seem to have to sing it out after its debut. After all, a completely new generation of the sedan is planned for 2022. Little brother Ghibli will follow a hybrid variant, or the updated Quattroporte will also become available with an electrified drivetrain, remains to be seen.
