Convertible, Carrera, GTS, Targa and Turbo
The 992 generation of the Porsche 911 is on the eve of a facelift. Our spy photographer has photographed a whole range of different versions of that facelifted 911.
Our spy photographer has been taking pictures lately. He sends us photos of a huge portion of the 911 lineup in facelifted form. We see the 911 Cabrio, Carrera, GTS, Targa and Turbo in succession. Each with its own appearance, of course, but with some common denominators. This makes it clear what actually changes to the 911 with the facelift.
You can mainly count on modified bumpers at the front, with the GTS it is specifically noticeable that there are a lot of vertical panels in the new front bumper. Newly arranged headlights with more Taycan-like LED elements are also present. At the rear, the changed light units are particularly noticeable. There is still a bend upwards at the corners of the rear lights, but the lighting itself no longer ‘goes up’.
The biggest news is undoubtedly the arrival of hybrid drive for the 911. The hybrid 911 would not only have a starter-generator (mild-hybrid drive), but also an electric motor that drives the front wheels. The whole thing would be powered by regenerative braking. We expect to welcome the facelifted Porsche 911 within a few months.
