Fiat has a new compact crossover in the development rooms. With a new teaser plate, the brand gives away more of the final design of that new SUV-like. The unveiling of the new compact Fiat will follow very soon.
Fiat is working on a new compact crossover, a car that for the time being has the working title Project 363. This new compact crossover has been portrayed on a new teaser plate. Although Fiat still leaves most of the car unexposed in both literal and figurative sense, some of the design is already visible. The new high-legged Fiat seems to get a pretty tough, high SUV nose, complete with flat LED daytime running lights. The actual headlights may be located one floor lower in the muzzle of the car. In any case, large openings can be seen in the front bumper.
The new Fiat crossover does not seem intended for Europe. The car was developed by the Brazilian branch of Fiat and also only appears to be on the market in South America. Should Fiat the Project 363 nevertheless to Europe, history repeats itself somewhat. In the 1990s, Fiat brought the Palio Weekend intended for the South American market to our corner of the world. The new Fiat crossover undoubtedly shares a lot of technology with unknown models such as the Argo, Toro and Strada. Possibly the new Fiat will get a set of 1.0 and 1.3-liter petrol engines that we know from other models here. For example, the Jeep Renegade with a 180 hp 1.3 of this Firefly engine family is available. The facelifted Fiat Tipo is in turn available with a blown 1.0 of that engine family.
Fiat is unveiling its new crossover on the eve of – yes – the Big Brother Brasil final, which will air very soon. So soon more of Fiat’s new competitor to cars like the Volkswagen T-Cross will be seen.
