Fiat has officially named its new compact SUV. The high-legged of the brand is called ‘Pulse’.
pulse. That is the name of the new compact crossover from Fiat that already made its digital debut on May 5. Fiat did not release much information and there was not yet a model name. For the naming, Fiat enlisted the help of anyone with an internet connection. Visitors to a specially designed website could vote for one of three potential names for the compact crossover: Tuo, Domo and Pulse.
Model name ‘Pulse’ attracted 65 percent of the vote. The names Domo and Tuo received 25 and 10 percent respectively. Herlander Zola, Fiat’s Brand Director in South America, also uses a few nice words invented by his marketing department. “Pulse is a fantastic name that can have countless associations. It has energy, movement and is extremely connected. It expresses the essence and personality of the vehicle: an SUV with the soul of Fiat, but at the same time with its own touch, beat and rhythm,” said Zola in an accompanying letter.
In the Netherlands you do not have to expect the Fiat Pulse on the market. The compact crossover seems to have been developed especially for the South American market.
