Fisher Ocean

The American car manufacturer Fisker is now also knocking on the door in the Netherlands. This means that the Dutch car market has gained yet another car brand that is fully dedicated to the sale of electric models. The Fisker Ocean can now be reserved, but that is not the only model for which you can already sign up.

You probably remember Fisker from the stubborn Karma that was also sold in the Netherlands between 2011 and 2014. Today’s Fisker has both nothing and everything to do with the Fisker of the past. The former Fisker went bankrupt years ago and found a new owner in a Chinese company that renamed the brand Karma. Henrik Fisker, the founder of the original Fisker and a gifted car designer himself, then created the current Fisker. After the disappearance of the Fisker Karma, you no longer saw the brand name Fisker in the Netherlands, but now it’s back!

Fisker was already active in Europe in addition to the United States and Canada. It has now spread its wings to Denmark, Germany, France, Norway, Austria, the United Kingdom and Sweden and is now adding three countries to that list: Switzerland, Belgium and… The Netherlands! In our country, Fisker will continue to sell its cars without the intervention of a dealer network, so the company is opting for the now well-known ‘direct sales model’.

The Fisker Ocean is the brand’s first car to come to the Netherlands. The electric SUV can already be reserved, although final prices are not yet known. Fisker does release indication prices for the Ocean. The Fisker Ocean should cost €71,058 as an Extreme. The introductory version called One, of which only 5,000 will be available worldwide, also changes ownership for that amount. Both cars have an electric range of up to 707 kilometers thanks to a 113 kWh battery. Two electric motors together are good for 475 hp in the base, but deliver after pressing the boostbutton temporary 663 hp. The 4.77 meter long and weighing more than 2.4 tons SUV must be able to reach a speed of 100 km / h from standstill in about 4 seconds.

It does not stop at the Ocean, by the way. Dutch interested parties can already sign up for the Pear, the more than 1,000 hp Ronin and the Alaska. The prices of these models will follow later this year.
