Earlier this month, Fisker announced a special off-road version of the Ocean. Today that adventurous dressed electric SUV is presented in full uniform.
Fisker says he is currently working on the last phase of the development of the Ocean, the electric SUV that was presented at the beginning of last year, which should be available in the United States at least next year. New is now the Force-E version, a variant that according to its creators focuses on adventures off the beaten track.
The Ocean Force-E is, as Fisker describes it, an Ocean with ‘an extreme off-road package’. Although Fisker has always kept the motor specifications of the regular Ocean under control, the company does state that the Ocean Force-E gets a 300 hp drivetrain and standard four-wheel drive. The Ocean Force-E has a special off-road handling and is therefore higher on its feet. The adventurous Ocean has a spare wheel on its front flap, its wheels are folded off-road tires and Fisker mounts additional lighting nits in the front bumper. The car also benefits from roof racks with built-in spotlights and additional towing eyes are hung on the front and rear. An extra charging point has even appeared on the back, a connection that can be used to recharge EVs with an empty battery. According to Fisker, a large water tank is hidden under the front flap.
The regular Fisker Ocean has an 80 kWh battery pack with which the SUV must be able to cover 400 to 480 kilometers electrically. Although motor specifications are not yet known, we do know that there will be a version that can sprint to 97 km / h (60 mph) in 2.9 seconds. Interesting is the price in the United States. Fisker speaks of a starting price of $ 37,499 and with that he dips below the intended starting price of the Tesla Model Y (standard range), which should cost $ 39,000.
