Fisker and electronics company Foxconn have signed a framework agreement for a collaboration that will eventually lead to Fisker’s second new model. For the time being, the new Fisker will go through life under the name Pear.
No, Pear in this case has nothing to do with the well-known fruit. Pear stands for Personal Electric Automotive Revolution. In a teaser video we see none other than Henrik Fisker watching a bit difficult as he waves some Pear-related lines into the air with his arm. The silhouette of the Pear can also be seen in the teaser video. It looks like the Ocean, currently Fisker’s only model, will be joined by another SUV-like. It may be the car that Fisker already showed on a teaser record in the middle of last year.
According to the brand, Fisker’s second model should be marketed not only in North America, but also in Europe, China and India. The car will soon be produced in the United States by Foxconn and Fisker, but the car may also come from other countries. In total, 250,000 copies of Fisker’s second model have to run off the production line every year. The car should get a starting price of less than $ 30,000. The newcomer will soon be using the FP28 platform, although little else is known about it. Production will start in the fourth quarter of 2023. At the end of next year, Fisker will also be pulling the curtain off the version of the electric Ocean intended for the European market.
