Five nice and somewhat older Nissan occasions

Nissan is mastering the news this week as it appears to be scrutinizing its presence in Europe. Time to look back at the used offer from the most successful decades; the 80s and 90s.

Although Nissan says it will continue to serve the European market, there seems to be some change in the air. Nissan has managed to break many pots in Europe after years on the Qashqai compared to before. In the 80s and 90s, the Japanese managed to achieve great success here in the Netherlands, especially with reliable cars such as the Micra and Primera. There is still quite a lot of second-hand supply, but for this list we take a few more striking cars.

Nissan Cedric (1984)

Nissan

A large Nissan sedan is something that we have not known here in the Netherlands for a long time. Let alone an intended competitor of the BMW 7-series and Mercedes S-class from the stable of Nissan. After all, that was what the Cedric was; Nissan’s answer to the established German order. In the Netherlands, the remaining Cedrics can probably be counted on one hand, which makes it extra special that one is for sale. This copy dates from 1984 and has a 155 hp 3.0-liter V6 and has quite a few luxury accessories on board for its age. Electrically operated windows at the front and rear, central door locking, air conditioning and a radio that can be operated from the rear seat are also part of the package.

Nissan Sunny (1988)

Nissan

A bit less rare and considerably less luxurious was the Nissan Sunny, which was once so widely represented in the Netherlands. Today, despite the reliability of these cars, unfortunately not much is left on the Dutch roads. Although the price may be a bit daunting, this 1988 copy is certainly worthy of attention. This is a Sunny as it fit perfectly in its time, but also in a state as if it is still 1988. As a daily transport, this Sunny is undoubtedly still very good to use. However, it seems better if it ends up with a real enthusiast.

Nissan 100 NX (1994)

Nissan

Those who remember the Nissan from the 90s will probably think mainly of the somewhat boring Primera and Almera. However, in the form of the 100NX it also had a very nice coupe in the showroom. Reliable technology in a nice jacket. Unfortunately, this model has also disappeared from the streets. So nice that there is one for sale that has long had love from the same owner and still has a very common mileage. You can see that in the photos (and frankly at the price). Look at that targa roof, great fun for these sunny months, right?

Nissan Patrol (1987)

Nissan

As fun as the 100NX was, the Patrol was so cool. This indestructible Nissan terrain executioner dates back to the days when cars came out of Japan that really seemed to be made for eternity. That is certainly true in the case of the Patrol; this is really on a different level. Just like countryman Toyota Land Cruiser, you have to come from a good house to destroy a Patrol. This specimen is apparently also neatly treated in its already 33-year existence. Good condition and low mileage also guarantee a hefty price for a Patrol of this age, but then you have something.

Nissan 300ZX (1994)

Nissan

Of course we keep the best for the last time. A Nissan 300ZX; it will not be cooler than this. In its time, the 300ZX already attracted a lot of attention with its clean lines and nowadays you drive completely special. Anyone who thinks it is mainly ostentation is wrong. With its 268 hp 3.0-liter biturbo V6, this is a blood-fast car, certainly for its time. New, the 300ZX already cost a little power and even now it is (compared to the cars above) certainly still swallow what it still has to cost. It must be said that this is also a very nice copy and you still get a lot of car for it.
