Ford Bronco Overland Concept ready for the adventure

Ford demonstrates with the Bronco Overland Concept how its all-new Bronco can be geared up for wilderness camping adventures.

With the new Bronco, Ford has put down a car that should happily plow through less accessible terrain. Once you’re deep in the wilderness, it’s nice to be able to stay there for a while. The Overland Concept responds to this. Basically it’s a Bronco Badlands, the extra-terrain and adventurous version of the Bronco. It only received a few extras to make it the ultimate camping friend.

For example, we see a winch in the front and the car has four separate lights in the front that can be turned completely. This way you can illuminate your ‘camping area’ well. On the roof is a special roof rack with an extra strip of lighting at the front. The biggest eye-catcher is on top of that roof rack: a two-person roof tent from Yakima. At the rear of the Bronco, all kinds of camping gear will appear as soon as you open the tailgate. According to Ford, there are, among other things, a refrigerator, a cooking set and a stove.

For the time being it is a concept car, but you can count on it that the Americans will eventually be able to order such things for their Bronco. For the Land Rover Defender and Jeep Wrangler, which operate in the waters of the Bronco, many such options are also available. For example, not too long ago we saw a roof tent on the option list with the Defender. Here in the Netherlands too, this is getting hands on, because it recently became apparent that roof tents are becoming more and more popular here.
