With the Bronco, Ford has shot straight into the popularity rose in the United States. Ford confirms that the retro-designed off-roader will also end up on and off the asphalt as a mighty Raptor next year.
In the Netherlands, the Raptor version of the Ranger is the only car named after a goofy reptile that Ford offers, although the F-150 Raptor is also not completely unknown thanks to, among other things, the gray import on the Dutch road network. Ford is now also giving the warmly received Bronco a Raptor version. That was already known, although the American consumer now actually has confirmation that the Ford Bronco Raptor will be on the market in 2022.
It is not yet known what will power the extra rugged version of the Ford Bronco. It is possible that Ford will bring the 3.5 Ecoboost V6 from the F-150 to the Ranger. That machine is good for 455 horsepower in the F-150. Regardless of the power source, Ford gives the Bronco Raptor a fierce off-road chassis and the necessary external finery. The arrival of the Bronco Raptor only makes the lack of the Bronco in Europe even greater, although such a version would of course become unaffordable ‘thanks to’ the bpm.
