The new Ford F-150 Raptor is certainly not for the cat, but according to Hennessey Performance still much too mild. That is now changing. The result: the Velociraptor 600.
Just like the previous generation, the Ford F-150 Raptor has a 450 hp 3.5 biturbo V6 as its beating heart. A pity for those who had hoped for a V8, but with that power source, the F-150 Raptor is of course also very well endowed. The Raptor has to live up to its name, especially if your goal is to still control rough terrain at high speeds. Of course, that doesn’t stop Hennessey Performance from getting more out of it.
After treatment by Hennessey, the V6 delivers no less than 600 American horsepower. The creation is therefore appropriately named Velociraptor 600. Thanks to this power sprint, the Velociraptor 600 sprints to 60 mph (97 km/h) in just 4.2 seconds. You probably won’t make it in rough terrain, although it will still look supernatural how fast the rugged Ford gets there. Incidentally, Hennessey also supplies extra strong Brembo brakes with six pistons per brake on request to quickly calm things down. No Hennessey treatment without some extras: extra thick front and rear bumpers with integrated LED lights, 20-inch Hennessey wheels and a range of Velociraptor and Hennessey logos.
All that beauty costs in the US – including the €55,021 Ford F-150 Raptor – converted to €73,725. Those who prefer even more power and a V8 in their F-150 can now knock on Hennessey’s door for the no less than 786 European horsepower Venom 775.
