Ford Mustang Mach-E: longer range, faster charging and less expensive

The electric Ford Mustang Mach-E benefits from a series of technical adjustments. Two engine versions of the electric SUV have a greater range and can charge faster.

The Ford Mustang Mach-E is available in various flavors in the Netherlands. The rear-wheel drive Standard Range RWD is the most popular and it is that variant that, like the four-wheel drive Standard Range AWD, benefits from technical improvements. The range of the Ford Mustang Mach-E Standard Range RWD increases by just 39 kilometers to 470 kilometers. The four-wheel drive Mustang Mach-E Standard Range – which also has a 75 kWh battery – gets an additional 28 kilometers of range.

In terms of charging capacity, the Mach-E Standard Range Mustangs had to tolerate the Extended Range versions with a 98 kWh battery. Ford is now correcting that. The maximum charging power of the Ford Mustang Mach-E Standard Range RWD and AWD is now no longer 115 kW but 150 kW. Ford is making further adjustments to the battery heating. Among other things, the preheating during fast charging has been improved, resulting in the SUV being able to charge faster at lower temperatures. Other adjustments: 19-inch alloy wheels with Aero Covers are now standard. Ford also says that it has refined the chassis of the electric SUV in detail.

Prices Ford Mustang Mach-E

The good news doesn’t stop there. The Ford Mustang Mach-E will also become less expensive. The starting price of the Ford Mustang Mach-E Standard Range RWD drops by €2,700 and goes from €53,900 to €51,200. Mach-E Mustangs from the previous (read: current) model year are available from €49,200 while stocks last.
