At the top of the drop-down menu on the Ford Mustang is now ‘movie classic’ Bullitt, but it won’t be long. His replacement is already making some test kilometers.
It is the end of the exercise for the Ford Mustang Bullitt. The 475 hp American has had a career of about two years. The Bullitt is said to be replaced by an even more powerful Mach 1 version. Ford introduced such a version in the late 1960s. With this “Bar, more emphasis is placed on performance.
The Mach 1 versions can be recognized by the iconic black bonnet, often with a gigantic opening for some extra engine cooling. According to tradition, a black stripe must be drawn on the side of the carriage. Ford released the last Mach 1 variant until 2004. It was then available on the fourth generation of the Mustang.
In the corridors it is whispered that the new Mustang Mach 1 will have a manual (note the gear knob in the interior photo) gearbox, coupled with a 5.0-liter V8 with more than 500 hp. The Mach 1 should show up before the end of this year.
