Genesis, the luxury brand of Hyundai, presented an all-new Genesis G90 at the end of November. There were no interior photos then, but there are now.
Contrary to what some readers seem to think, we didn’t keep those interior photos under the hood to bully you. They simply weren’t available yet, but that changes today. The G90 was presented in its impressive whole in South Korea and we also see it inside.
As we are used to from the brand, it looks quite impressive. The dashboard is made up of a lot of horizontal layers and is visually not connected to the center tunnel. We see a large screen combination that is artfully interrupted by a ‘bar’ in the leather color that takes off on either side of the instrumentation. The two-spoke steering wheel may also be there, just like the aluminum-colored ‘island’ between the seats, which includes the automatic transmission and a rotary knob for the infotainment. In addition to aluminum, glass is also incorporated.
The G90 is Genesis’ top limousine, so a lot of attention goes to the back seat. In other words, to the rear seats. The image from the side is the long-wheelbase version, recognizable by the extra window behind the huge door. Here we see two extensively electrically adjustable seats, separated by a huge center console full of compartments, trays and buttons.
For the time being, Genesis offers five color combinations for the interior, from an all-black version to a combination of white and brown and even beige and burgundy.
Genesis has no plans for the time being to introduce this super limousine in Europe. However, the brand wants to start here, but does so with smaller models and the electric GV60. Genesis also has electric versions of some regular models, such as the GV70 and G80.
