The launch of the next generation of iPhones is near. It was previously assumed that the iPhone 14 (Pro) would be unveiled on Tuesday, September 13, and that the official release will follow on Friday, September 23. But it will probably be even sooner!
iPhone 14 release
The release of a new iPhone generation has been following a fixed pattern for years. Usually the announcement takes place in the second week of September, on a Monday or Tuesday. The following Friday, the brand new devices can be pre-ordered and a week later – also on a Friday – the devices are in stores.
For a long time there were rumors that the iPhone 14 series will be presented on Tuesday, September 13. However, the two most trusted Apple insiders today – Mark Gurman and Ming-Chi Kuo – think otherwise. They have information that the new iPhones will be unveiled on Wednesday, September 7.
That also affects the release date. If Apple is once again sticking to tradition, you can already use the iPhone 14 (Pro) Friday 9 September to order. If you’re there in time (the pre-order will probably start at 2:00 PM), you’ll already have the iPhone 14 (Pro) Friday September 16 at home. This is also the time when the brand new devices are in the shops.
Four new devices
Again, the iPhone series comes in four variants. First of all, there are two standard models: the 6.1-inch iPhone 14 and 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Max. Apple also releases two more advanced versions: the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max.
The Pro iPhones are especially interesting. That provides Apple with a 48 megapixel camera, Always On display and a new design. The standard models probably differ little from last year’s iPhone 13. Apple is probably improving the wide-angle and ultra-wide-angle lens, but it doesn’t get much more exciting than that.
